FOUNDATION
(Yayasan Anuk Tangguh)
The Oracle actively assists the Strong Children
Foundation in a small village outside of Ubud in
Bali, Indonesia. Created by the Villagers
themselves, the goals of the Foundation are to
teach English; providing a future for their
children and to avoid child exploitation. We
provide much needed school supplies and have
created opportunity for students to visit Canada
and immerse them in English. We need your help to
make this dream come true.
Their motto is
“strong children, strong community’ / ‘community
school NOT commodity school’.
Tourism is Bali’s main industry, as Whistler – the
same only different. The girls will be here for
two weeks and will have an opportunity to see and
do many things that they will take back to share
with their peers, and in turn will help them 'be
the change'. |

Invitation from Deepak
Many people have asked me how they might more actively participate
in the creation of a critical mass of consciousness. Gandhi said,
"You must be the change you want to see in the world". If you want
to "be the change" in your community, I invite you to begin by
hosting meetings to talk about how you can create a better world
through personal and social transformation. Interested individuals
can agree to meet once or twice a month to share a common vision and
achieve many goals. Together we can make it happen.
